Job Title : SAP BASIS Consultant
Location : Irvine, California
Duration : 6 months
*Essential Qualifications:*
• Minimum 6 years of proven hands-on experience in field of SAP
Netweaver Basis administration & SAP Application security.
• Proven Basis hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0, SAP BW 7.3x
and Netweaver 7.30 in UNIX/Oracle environment required.
• Experience with SAP Netweaver BPC 10x implementation is highly
desired.
• Experience with SAP BOBI 3.1x or 4.x is desired.
• Providing Netweaver (Basis) support for the
development,functional teams and end users on day-to-day issues in an
integrated system landscape (SAP and non-SAP/3rd party solution)
• Good understanding of SAP Application Server ABAP as well as
JAVA Stack and system copy/refresh process is required.
• Ability to operate in a team environment as well as be self
directed.

*Technical Responsibilities:*
• SAP Netweaver (Basis) administration and technical core tasks
including SAP software installation, applying patches and fixes,
installation of add-on software components, SAP profile parameter changes,
workload analysis, system error analysis and establishing
standard Basis background jobs and system health checks and monitoring.
• Maintains multi-landscape environments through environment
copies, system refreshes, client copies and transport management.
• Create/modify/update SAP ECC and BW security roles.
• Provision and manage user setup, authorizations in
non-production systems.
• Define and document technical system requirements and systems
management procedures.
• Involved with problem escalation and resolution, working with
SAP and other software/hardware vendors (Oracle database, Solaris,
OpenText,etc.) to resolve problems and perform hardware sizing.
• Analyze system performance, system health checks and implement
tuning improvements.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create and maintain positive and professional
business relationship with project team(s), associates and external
customers
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of the financial industry preferred
• Computer Science degree highly preferred
