Project Manager _ Public health Is Desired
Location: NYC
Duration:4 months+
Rate: $45/Hr on c2c

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE (Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory
skills will not be considered.)
• A minimum of 4-5 years documented experience in project
management for IT applications.
• The candidate should have excellent technical, communication,
and writing skills.
• Ability to work with end-users, technical staff, vendors, and
all project stakeholders.
• Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college and a
minimum of two years experience with project management, information
technology, business analysis, and technical writing.
• Must be able to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet
project deliverables in a timely manner.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in a public agency is desired, and specific experience
in
public health is a plus.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
• The Division of Informatics and Information Technology (DIIT)
provides
project management and consulting services to Bureaus within the
Department of Health andMental Hygiene.
• The scope of services is to serve as a Junior Project Manager
implementing a custom webbased system. The duties will include:
• Serve as point of contact on all project matters.
• Prepare a plan document defining the project schedule, project
team framework and scope, highlighting the milestones and the execution
strategy.
• Responsible for the planning, execution and implementation of
the project and will work closely with Developers, QA Staff, vendors,
business owners and SME’s to achieve the project deliverables. Develop
rollout plan and oversee deployment into production.
• Coordinate and delegate assignments to vendor staff, project
staff and business owners/SME’s.
• Handle change request management, budgeting, and risk issues in
all phases of the project life-cycle.
• Facilitates communication between all skateholders and project
team members during all phases to ensure that business needs are being met
and that the project is progressing according to the timeline and budget.
• Conduct status meetings. Assure proper articulation and
reporting of project status to stakeholders and executive management.
• Communicate risks and issues and intervene when necessary to
assure timely completion of the project.
• Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business
process and user needs.
• Conduct business analysis as needed and translate business needs
into detailed functional requirements for client’s IT system needs.
• Coordinate user training.
