Sr. SAP BPC Developer Type: Contract Location: Palo Alto, CA Position Overview: The IT Development group seeks an experienced and highly motivated Systems Architect/Sr. Developer to take a leadership role in shaping and executing Finance's Planning and Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives. This person is responsible for the overall design and architecture of the company's Planning and BI systems, including data integrations, BPC development using Advanced SQL/MDX, and report delivery. The candidate will primarily work closely with the Finance Systems and FP&A groups to define requirements and develop technical solutions. During the project lifecycle the individual will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams of users, IT developers and QA analysts to ensure successful delivery of key projects. The candidate must be able to work through the various phases of the projects and take it to successful completion from beginning to end. This position reports to the IT Development Manager. Other responsibilities: Assist in documenting functional and technical requirements. Assist users with test scripts for user acceptance testing Develop test plans with IT for each deployment release and maintain constant communication with the business groups throughout the deployment cycle Manage and participate in user acceptance testing for each release Assist in other projects as required Requirements and Specifications: * B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science (other majors OK with requisite experience) * Extensive experience in Oracle and MS SQL Server databases, OLAP engines, data integrations using ETL tools such as Informatica/SSIS, reporting, dashboards and scorecards * Minimum 4 years Experience as the SAP BPC (OutlookSoft) Architect/developer * Experience in performing FX Translations, Allocations, Capex/Depreciation/HR calculations such as Payroll taxes, benefit rates, 401K, etc.. * Strong understanding of .net COM+ applications * Good understanding of MS IIS is a plus * Strong Advanced SQL programming skills (MDX) for SAP BPC (OutlookSoft) application development is required * 12+ years experience in Information Systems and Technology * Knowledge and experience in the development & deployment of data warehouse architecture for large data volumes and complex reporting solutions using one or more BI tools such as OBIEE, Cognos, Hyperion, or Business Objects * Combination of experience in systems/IT working with accounting or finance a plus. * Financial systems knowledge such as Oracle applications including GL, AP, FA, HR and Discoverer preferred but not required. * Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people using strong written and oral communication skills. * Proficiency using Excel and Access required Thanks & Regards, Raj TECHGENE SOLUTIONS, LLC (A Minority Certified Company) Email: [email protected] Ph: 214-257-0837 extn: 36 Fax: 972-692-5824 www.techgene.com <http://www.techgene.com/> Yahoo IM: [email protected] CONFIDENTIALITY: This email (including any attachments) may contain confidential, proprietary and privileged information, and unauthorized disclosure or use is prohibited.
