Role: Server Side QA Engineer Duration: 12 months Location: Cambridge MA Rate: OPEN/DOE Interview type: Phone and F2F The Server Side-QA team is responsible for testing voice recognition applications for both mass-market feature phones and smart phones for some of the world’s largest phone manufacturers such as Samsung, Motorola, LG, and RIM. The selected candidate will be responsible for test planning, script development and test execution for all server-side applications. This includes functional, performance and load testing. *Required Skills:* - Strong knowledge writing SQL queries - Strong knowledge working in a UNIX and/or Linux environments - Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python to design and build test tools. This includes performance testing with tools such as JMeter or similar. - Experience working in an Iterative or Agile SCRUM SDLC methodology - Strong experience with test case/ script development - Experience in installations, source code systems from source control systems and troubleshooting down to the application and database layer - Understanding of N-Tier Architecture - Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, is required for communication with globally distributed Nuance teams and customers. *Preferred Skills:* - Experience with mobile phone client/server software architectures - Speech recognition industry experience - Production experience with large-scale systems (millions of users) is a big plus - Prior work in an Agile environment - Familiarity with Subversion and defect reporting tools such as JIRA - Complete life cycle experience, including deployment to production - Scripting experience (bash, shell, python, perl) -- Regards Siva Kumar Sr.Resource Manager [email protected] 33 Boston Post Road West, STE 160, Marlborough, MA.
