Job Title: Sr. java consultant Location: O Fallon, MO Duration: 12 Months *Job Details:* Required Skills: * Minimum of 3 - 6 years of demonstrated experience in IT, having served in various roles in IT organizations. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in design, development, implementation and support of highly scalable, high volume consumer/customer facing web applications. * Superior creative and innovative solution design/definition skills. * Total comfort with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies * Very strong design and development skills in Web services * Excellent understanding of multi-tier web architectures, OO design patterns and concepts. * Experience working with development automation tools (e.g. Jira, Crucible, Bamboo, etc.) * Experience working in a client-facing role is a plus. * Strong experience in logical and physical database design, performance optimization, data loading, federated and parallel data management, high-availability and capacity planning. * Specialist in technologies, frameworks, services and concepts such as o SAML and Single Sign On solutions o JEE5 or JEE6 o Hibernate o Spring o Information Architecture and Community Design o Syndicated web services, and service security o J2EE architecture (required) Other Skills & Abilities: * Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communications skills. * Strong business relationship management skills. * Ability to work across organizational boundaries and organizational levels and influence business and technology partners. * Self-motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal direction. * Ability to multi task and meet deadlines. * Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus Desired Skills: * Work experience related to financial industry. * Experience using the Atlassian tool stack (Jira, Crucible, Bamboo, etc.) Thank you very much for your time.
