Role: Sr. Telecom Engineer Location: Moorestown, NJ (might require some amount of travel US) Duration: 12+ Months Ideal candidate should be somebody who enjoys Telecom systems design, architecture, test planning and feels strongly not only about building large networks but also complex migrations and scaling network infrastructure to next level. You must enjoy a close-knit team environment of shared responsibility. This position, while based in the Moorestown, NJ, might require some amount of travel to other cities within US. Key skills required for this position include, · Strong knowledge in SIP and VoIP - Knowledge of SIP, SS7, Diameter, trunking protocols · Good understanding of Access/ Core network design / implementation on Service Provider network · Deep Exposure to telecom switches, Ericsson, ALU, Broad soft, Cisco desirable · Good Exposure to Cable components like CMTS, different models of CMs · Must have good knowledge of LAN switching protocols, Global load balancer and Security components · Good understanding of network testing concepts with exposure to test heads tools automation & simulators such as Hammer, IXIA etc · Bachelors or equivalent with 5 years' experience in telecommunication industry · Cisco certifications highly preferred Specific duties include, but are not limited to: 1. Design, Plan for QA activities and validate the next generation Voice Core and access network architecture for high performance, availability and redundancy 2. Work with various system vendors on evaluating new systems and solutions as part of next generation telecom architectures and provide recommendations. Systems include IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) switches, cable Modems, CMTS, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers etc. 3.
