*Please send resume to s...@cncconsulting.com <s...@cncconsulting.com> * Job title: C#.Net Developer Location: Columbia, SC Duration: 3 Months+ Direct Client Position Rate: $50/55/hr on C2C *Note: Preference for State experience with strong MVC framework* Software developer with a background that includes .Net and C# and SQL Server technologies to develop a solution that will retire an existing mainframe financial application, reduce the office's reliance on the SC Dept of Education (SCDE) programming team, and further improve work processes by automating processes, where possible, to eliminate manual and paper driven processes within our Finance office. This project will have two development efforts that will be running in parallel. The development of a SQL solution that will functionally operate as the current mainframe application and the development of a SQL solution that will support the new education funding plan requirements if approved by the SC Legislature. We are particularly looking for a developer that has knowledge and experience with MVC 4.0 framework. This developer will be working as part of development team and responsible for the analysis, design, coding, unit testing and documentation of specific application components in support of SCDE EFA Replacement project assigned by the project manager. Programmer will produce pieces of or all of the solution architecture documentation package and participate in the build, release, and deployment of scripts. Install/deploy code or stage code for deployment. DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Review, analyze, and become familiar with the current mainframe financial application to provide a SQL solution to 1) mirror the existing funding functionality with updated efficiencies as required by the Office of Finance and 2) develop new solution based on new funding requirements. 2) Investigates errors and problems within application components and modules, remediates and solves these issues, and communicates these solutions to project manager, application customers and users using specific application defect tracking methodology and software. 3) Develops and integrates software, tests and modifies components and application modules as directed by project manager. 4) Integrates software, tests and modifies components and application modules produced by outside vendors, contractors, suppliers, or other entities, so that these modules perform as designed in the agency environment. 5) Develops the necessary documentation for technical code documentation and user manual documentation for customers. 6) Report progress weekly to management and project manager. 7) Work to be performed onsite at SCDE.
