*SQA Performance Test EngineerLocation: Milwaukee, WIDuration: 6+ Months
ContractMAX RATE: $50/hr C2C *
*Purpose:*The SQA Performance Test Engineer will work with the Software
Engineering team to execute a comprehensive test plan to ensure that the
web-based applications at the company. meet established service levels, are
reliable under load, and are scalable.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analyzing
requirements and existing design artifacts, formulating performance test
plans, designing test cases, executing performance tests, reporting test
status, and working with software engineers to diagnose and troubleshoot
performance bottlenecks.
*Job Duties & Responsibilities:*Successfully perform the following testing
activities:
Design and run extensive load, scalability, stability, and stress tests
using Borland Silk Performer.
Analyze and interpret technical data to identify/resolve system bottlenecks.
Analyze current processes, methodologies, practices and recommend
improvements.
Create test summaries, including defect-tracking reports.
Assist management and project management with assessment of performance
bottlenecks and options to resolve them.
*Education & Work Experience:*Bachelor's degree in a Software Engineering
related field recommended.
Proven success in a testing environment, likely gained with 5-7 years'
experience in software performance testing of web-based applications in an
environment where Borland Silk Performer is the tool of choice.
*Specialized Knowledge & Skills:*Proficiency in writing test scripts using
Borland Silk Performer.
Proficiency also in executing these scripts in the tool, assessing the
results and creating summary reports of findings.
Knowledge of automation tools for web service testing (e.g. SOAP Sonar,
Soap UI).
Knowledge of .NET framework and Visual Studio.
Knowledge of programming language (e.g. C#, VB, JAVA) is helpful.
Understanding of using SQL queries in a MS SQL Server environment is
preferred.
*Work Environment & Physical Demands:*
General Office Environment. No special physical demands required.
