*Job Description:*



·         12+ years of IT industry experience.

·         5+ years of release management experience

·         Release Manager for IDM, Integration & Storage

·         Good domain knowledge

·         Good project management / people management skills - ability to
work with people to resolve conflicts during cut over as well as deployment.

·         Good attention to detail.

·         Ability to handle pressure and work in a high stress environment

·         Deployment experience for large initiatives / projects.

·         Experience working in a high-performing matrixed team

·         Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)



*Objectives:*

·         Establish ITIL Release management best practices.

·         Release is tested and deployed efficiently to a deployment,
successfully and on schedule.

·         There is minimal unpredicted impact on the production services,
operations and support organization.



*Responsibilities *



·         Act as liaison for IT and business teams for all questions
related to current release dates or release schedule

·         Facilitate discussion with all teams to change release date or
release cadence

·         Work with stakeholders to resolve conflicts arising from requests
that involve changing scope of a release, which impacts cross functional
teams.

·         Work with stakeholders to resolve requests to change the downtime
duration for planned and unplanned releases

·         Resolve escalations for a planned release (in cases where there
is a cross functional impact)

·         Find appropriate outage windows or release dates for out of
cycle  releases

·         Own and drive all Release and associated Change management
processes

·         Create and maintain all change records in service now for releases

·         Obtain approvals for each release from IT and business
stakeholders

·         Work with all teams and groups to prepare the cutover plan

·         Communicate final cutover plan to all business and IT
Stakeholders and obtain signoff / confirmation on the cutover plan for
release

·         Work with operations team to execute the cutover plan and perform
all co-ordination activities during cutover for the minor release

·         Send status updates from the beginning to the end of the cutover
to all stakeholders during a release

·         Work with operations team to execute the dry run plan and perform
all co-ordination activities during the dry run exercise for the major
release

·         Send status updates from the beginning to the end of the dry run
exercise to all stakeholders

·         Refine and prepare the final cutover plan for the major release
based on lessons learnt from the dry run exercise

·         Schedule meetings with the cross functional application teams to
review and make adjustments to the final cutover plan as needed.

·         Communicate the final cutover plan to all business and IT
Stakeholders and obtaining signoff / confirmation on the final cutover plan
for the major release

·         Work with operations team to execute the cutover plan during a
major release and perform all co-ordination activities during the major
release

·         Send status updates from the beginning to the end of the
deployment to all stakeholders

·         Own and maintain stakeholder communication list that is used for
status updates

·         Schedule and drive the go no-go call for the major release

·         Own overall accountability for all release management activities

·         Schedule retrospective after each release with all teams and
identify areas of improvement
