Location: Cedar Rapids, IA Duration: 9 months *Rate: $** 65-70/hr c2c MAX* The successful candidate will possess a deep and broad knowledge of technology and solutions, and a good understanding of current and emerging market trends such as Consumerization of IT (CoIT), BYOD, mobility, Big Data concepts and Cloud Computing, etc. The architect will also possess a breadth of knowledge in several technology areas, allowing integration between the enterprise technologies, and ensuring that the solution architecture supports service availability and performance. *Skills & Knowledge:* • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of large scope and complexity. Establishes IT standards, policies and practices. Oversees completion of assigned projects and goals. Work is reviewed by Enterprise Architect lead or manger or a more senior Enterprise Architect for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and adherence to architectural standards. Normally receives little instruction on day-to- day work, or general instructions on new assignments. Responsible for determining objectives of assignment. • Assigns and provides technical guidance and oversight to Solutions Architects to ensure coordination of subsystems and integration of total solution. • Reviews and approves final solution design and implementation plan to ensure adherence to established technical standards and satisfaction of business requirements. • Provides comprehensive consultation to management regarding long and short range business requirements and recommends innovations which anticipate the future directions of information technology. • Establish and ensure the strategic alignment of architectural standards and guidelines with RC business direction. • Drive optimization of hardware and software platforms setting the buy, sell, or hold recommendations across the various platforms. • Ability to decompose/analyze/solution complex technical issues in a timely manner; ability to address the day-to-day technical and logistical issues that arise in the engagement life cycle. • Ability to effectively/precisely communicate with engagement team members and stake holders. Comfortable communicating technical capabilities to all levels of internal clients. The candidate must possess the strategic thinking, communication/presentation skills and organizational agility to guide the team and solution portfolio through multi-year initiatives. The role requires an individual who is results-focused, proactive, highly collaborative, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both solution evangelism and expectation management. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, time-management; planning, negotiation skills and presentation skills are highly desirable. • Working Knowledge of the tools and infrastructure used by the competency to manage a tower/platform and define standards. • Knowledge of Service Delivery and service offerings - experience in Delivery is a definite plus • Knowledge in IT audit, regulatory and compliance is a plus • Understand the working relationships of a complex organization and how they tie together in order to fully develop and provide a solution • Document overall solution strategic vision, and create architecture proposals based on identified solution gaps.
