Role: Automation Tester
Location : San Mateo, CA
Duration: Long Term
* JOB DESCRIPTION:*
*Key responsibilities:*
1. Automate stability test cases using TCL to verify the functions of
the mobile phone products.
2. Evaluating new requirements and creating test cases or action plans
to cover those requirements
3. Develop new automation strategies.
4. Track and report issues using tracking tools.
5. Coordinating with team members, test engineers, project management,
and global function groups to determine best practices.
6. Work with the multi-site teams to troubleshoot and understand issues
and make recommendations
7. Provide On-site engineering support to US operators during their
testing phases
* KEY FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES, SKILLS , IMPORTANT ASPECTS*:
- Experience with methods and tools for analyzing the development and
technical characteristics of testing/verification systems
- Experience using TCL and Perl programming language in software
development
- Strong communication, coordination, organization, and reporting skills.
- Experienced with Smartphone and Tablets
- Experienced with Android
*Preferred:*
- Experience with testing tools such as ClearQuest, Mercury Quality
Center Agilent 8960, Ethereal/WireShark and proprietary phone software
loading and logging tools DebugMux, QXDM, QCAT, Snapper.
- Experience with TCP/UDP, 3GPP, 3GPP2, IMS and WAP protocols
- JAVA coding background in a testing role
- Verification in a cellular information technology (GSM, CDMA or
TDMA)
- Technical understanding of mobile phone applications
* Minimum Years of Relevant Experience: *
- 5+ yrs experience in software verification or development of mobile
phones
- 1+ yrs Experience with TCL and Perl, Visual Basic, and/or Java
development
- 2+ yrs of Android and other Standard OS experience
- 2+ yrs of US Cellular operator requirements experience
- 1+ yrs of Test case development experience
