This position will be responsible for *supporting the IBM DB2 for z/OS
relational database environment*. These duties will include monitoring
System and Vendor databases for reorganization requirements, and scheduling
and executing database backup and maintenance activities with the
appropriate business areas.
The successful candidate will have, at minimum, an Associate degree in
Computer Science or related field with preference given to a candidate with
a Bachelor Degree in a similar discipline. This education should be
supported by at least 4 years of DB2 development or support experience in
IBM mainframe environment.
Must have experience in the analysis and maintenance of DB2 objects and
have a working knowledge of SQL and programming efficiencies used in DB2
application programs. Must have experience in preparing and executing DB2
programs and utilities.
Must have demonstrated experience with TSO, QMF, ISPF, SDSF, and JCL
preparation and execution.
Experience with IBM DB2 Administration, Automation, Table Editor, SQL
Performance Analyzer, Log Analysis, Query Monitor, Websphere Replication,
Omegamon XE for DB2 PM, and Compuware File Aid for DB2 would be a plus.
Actual experience with Client/Server interfaces and development would be a
plus.
Actual experience installing and supporting IMS would be a plus.
Actual experience with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office suite of
tools (e.g. Word, Excel) would be a plus.
*Position 2: Lead CICS Systems Programmer*
Location: Lincoln, NE
Duration : 1+ year
Interview Mode: Phone
Estimated Duration: July 2014-Jan 31,2016
Required:
- Associate Degree in IT related field of study or equivalent.
- At least four (4) years of experience as a CICS Systems Programmer
leading other Systems Programmers to complete projects.
- At least four (4) years of experience as a CICS Systems Programmer
within CICS TS v3.1 or higher environment and applying required
maintenance/upgrades for CICS TS and other third party software.
- At least four (4) years of experience as a CICS Systems Programmer
using SMP/E for system implementations.
- At least four (4) years of experience monitoring CICS TS v3.1 or
higher environments.
- Must have current working experience with Assembler and REXX
languages, so you can readily read and code programs as necessary.
- Must be able analyze MVS core dumps to support Systems Programmer
duties.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills as a Systems Programmer.
- Must have strong collaborative skills which are service oriented and
strong interpersonal skills with various levels of technical staff.
- Must have strong organization, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Must have no difficulty in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, including
the ability to gather and provide information to others effectively
regardless of the audience.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field of study.
- Experience with CICS TS v4.1 or higher.
- Experience with supporting web-based CICS applications.
- Experience with HTML coding.
- Experience with DB2 databases.
- Experience with SQL coding.
- Experience with RACF within CICS Systems environment.
- Experience with CICSPlex environments.
- Experience with CICS Explorer.
- Experience coding CICS COBOL programs.
- Experience with any of the following third party software: TMON, Kodak
KMS, CICSVR, IPCP-Plus/MVS, DRS, and ERI/CICS.
Experience with mentoring other CICS Systems Programmers
