Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
+5 Senior level Solaris (9/10) systems
administration
+5 Experience in creating and troubleshooting
complex shell Boerne and K-shell
+5 Hands on experience with system monitoring
tools, scripts unix commands which permit tuning of servers and system
applications for maximum efficiency
+5 Experience planning, implementing and
maintaining OS and Firmware patching levels to include system
applications and scripts upgrades.
+5 Strong troubleshooting skills, problem detection
using centralized logging for problem identification and analysis
+5 Working in 24X7 on call pager rotation
environment
+3 Experience with change management software and
processes to report and resolve issues.
+3 Experience with Symantec Storage Foundation
suite DiskSuite & Volume manager, VERITAS cluster server.
+2 Hands on experience with Solaris Zones which
include ZFS file systems, storage pools, snaps, clones and containers.
+2 Experience with Solaris LDOMS
+2 Strong analysis skills capacity planning,
trending to address future growth needs
Strong Possess good oral and written communication.
Strong Possess good technical and process documentation
skills
Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
+2 Knowledge of automation concept of
deployment processes procedures.
+2 Windows 2003 and above
administration experience.
+2 Experience with Active directory,
Domains and DNS
+2 Administration experience with the
following monitoring applications I3, Wily,
Big Brother, Nagios, ITCAM or Hobbit/Xymon
