Please send the resumes at [email protected] Job Title: Network Engineer Location: Troy, MI Duration: 6 Months Responsibilities: Provide Operational support for Security operations in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment, with on-call rotation. Provide expert level support for firewalls, VPNs, remote access and other security tools Provide support for security incidents including internal violations, attacks, malware and system outages. Support information security policies, standards, and processes based on the business goals of Neustar. Prepare trade-off studies and evaluations for vendor solutions. Recommends network design changes/enhancements for improved systems security, availability, and performance. Maintains comprehensive documentation regarding network and security configurations, operating procedures, and service records relating to security hardware and software. Support the security design and implementation of new projects and systems. Work with business teams to ensure that new projects have the appropriate security measures planned and in place. Research new technologies and security methodologies. Hardening Windows, Linux, and Solaris systems, with a focus on security related topics such as system hardening, configuring/installing access controls, monitoring, and host-based intrusion detection and forensics techniques. Maintaining and securing infrastructure against (DoS, DDoS, and system compromise) for public services including DNS, Whois, and Web systems (Apache & IIS) as well as other extranet applications. Knowledge of network security related best practices and policies (e.g. SANs, ISACA, ISC2). Perform packet captures and decoding, firewall management and configuration techniques, manage virtual private networks, remote access, and network based intrusion detection systems. Expert level Experience with the following products/concepts: Firewalls/vpn’s (Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco, PaloAlto) Remote access systems (Juniper, Cisco) Virtualization technologies (SDN, VMWare, Openstack, AWS, etc.) Linux Hardening/Use/Administration Networking (switching, routing) Web Proxies SourceFire NAC DLP Wireshark/libpcap scripting/programming in shell and interpreted environments (bash, grep, awk, sed, Python, Perl, Ruby, Java/C++, x86 Assembly). OpenSSL Crypto Concepts (Symmetric, Asymmetric, PKI) Malware Analysis Windows Administration/Usage Education/Qualification : 8+ years’ experience in Information security College degree in related field or equivalent experience. Strong self-starter who has the ability to operate independently. Demonstration of a highly committed work ethic and a passion for the digital space. Excellent oral/written presentation skills with ability to communicate effectively with leadership; proficiency in preparation of presentations, analytical reports, and documents regarding program operational status, achievement and performance. Must have strong business acumen with ability to work with application development and IT teams.
