Java Developer/Programmer Duration: 6 Months Boston, MA OR Mpls, MN Contract to HIRE – Must be GC, Citizen or EAD *Job Responsibilities: * Contribute to software development activities by developing, documenting, testing, modifying and maintaining new and existing software applications. Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to the development life cycle. Bring application(s) and technology expertise to the specification and design development process. Provide technical expertise on assigned applications, to include interfaces and interrelationships with other applications and systems. Receive technical guidance and day-to-day direction from Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers. This is an application support role. NOT looking for just a developer. PROJECT: Looking for a Sr. Developer/Tech Lead that will be supporting Investment accounting applications (vendor products from Fiserv and Princeton Financial). Person will be modifying existing code, developing new code, reviewing code developed by others, guide a team of developers and business analysts and make sure the application is working as expected. *** Asset Management experience in Back Office systems is a plus but not mandatory: Asset Management back office experience typically means having experience in Investment Account systems, performance Analytics and , Client Reporting applications. *** This is a delivery/application support role with a combination of support and enhancement tasks. *** Expect 70% hands on technical analysis / development work. 3 30% coordination / management work - MUST understand criticality of the work. TOP TECHNICAL SKILLS: a) 5+ years of experience with Java and .Net, Unix Shell scripting, Java Script, XML. b) Strong Knowledge/experience with, MQ Series, Object Oriented Language and file transfer protocols. c) Experience in developing / supporting SSRS reports. d) 5+ years of experience with Oracle , PL/SQL programing and / or MS SQL.
