Title: Sr SQL Server DBA/Architect Location: TX
Duration: 6+ Months *Job Purpose:* Senior level position designed for the database administrator who has achieved a high degree of database skills as well as significant work related experience in database management. The individual should be very proficient in all areas of database management and able to resolve difficult production support issues. In addition, the Database Admin also is able to work independently on challenging assignments and provide high quality deliverables for tasks assigned. *Job Background/context:* The Database Administrator is responsible for all activities relating to the design, security, implementation, operations, contigency and maintenance of corporate databases. The role includes performing data model physicalization, developing database related changes, providing reliable, recoverable and scalable databases, as well as adhering to standards and policies that are specific to database management. The DBA provides support, trouble shooting and performance tuning for all databases.
