Our client has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Developer who has
experience designing and developing enterprise-level web applications along
with Enterprise-level data movement (interfaces, conversions, SSIS/DTS
packages). Responsible for the ongoing design and development of internal
applications. This individual will understand in detail the architecture and
implementation of the company’s applications, and will design, develop,
code, test, debug, and implement required features and upgrades. This role
will also be responsible for understanding and documenting user requirements
and technical specifications. This position will also be responsible for the
long term maintenance of the company*s applications, including developing
fixes as necessary, maintaining documentation for applications, and
performing other duties as assigned.
*Requirements:*
- Designing and developing enterprise-level web applications (3+ yrs)
- Enterprise-level data movement (interfaces, conversions, SSIS/DTS
packages) (3+ yrs)
- 7+ yrs of experience in designing/developing departmental,
line-of-business, and enterprise-level web applications.
- Five or more years developing software solutions in a professional setting
using one or more of the following technologies: .NET (C#, ASP .NET, ADO
.NET)/ XML/ Visual Basic/ SQL Server 2000/ Visual Foxpro/ Access
- Experience with object oriented design, analysis and UML a plus.
- Ability to work productively in team environment or independently, with
minimal supervision.
- High degree of self-motivation with superior analytical skills.
- Ability to act independently and proactively to develop innovative
solutions and approaches to problems and crisis situations.
*Responsibilities:*
- Use internal development standards, design, develop, support and enhance
client’s application portfolio in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Use internally defined standards to schedule and promote system
rollouts/updates. This includes coordinating appropriate development,
database, network and business personnel to insure high quality deployments
with minimal business interruption.
- Consult with users to understand business processes and data requirements
to effectively develop solutions that are aligned with business objectives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation to describe system workflow,
architecture, software design, and configuration/deployment, and operating
procedures.
- Based on understanding of requirements, provide management with time and
feasibility estimates for development, integration, and testing of system
components.
- Research, evaluate, install and test third party software packages and
upgrades as application platforms or tools.
