This requires deep expertise in installing datastage.*

Activity 1 - Solution Deployment – Test and Production Environments
installations of datastage 8.1 on LINUX.
1) Deploy IBM Datastage grid solution both in DEV and PROD environments
• Review environment and verify completed installation prerequisites
• Install, configure and validate the following Datastage grid 8.1
infrastructure
o Two (2) head nodes – datastage grid - DEVELOPMENT
o Two (2) compute nodes – datastage grid - DEVELOPMENT
o Two (2) head nodes – datastage grid - PRODUCTION
o Two (2) compute nodes – datastage grid – PRODUCTION
Activity 2 - Tune the system during the load testing process to fine tune
the server configuration
Tune and Configure system for the JDA-datastage jobs.
(1) Assist Office Depot in devising the best configuration and architecture
for the grid solution;
(2) Participate in performance testing with sample batch workload.
Activity 3 - Transfer of Information and knowledge of the grid model.
Over the course of discovery and detail design the Datastage software
specialist will do a skill assessment of the Office Depot technical
personnel who will be working on the deployment. Based on this assessment
informal training will be given to address any gaps in knowledge specific to
the datastage software.
The consultant will provide skills transfer learning opportunities for the
Office Depot personnel who are responsible for supporting the datastage
products in your environment. This skills transfer will occur by identifying
your technical specialists and assigning them to work side by side with
Datastage specialists at the beginning of the project or at the beginning of
the implementation of each specific product.
DESCRIPTION OF DELIVERABLES.
1. Deployment Summary Document after the DEV and PROD environment builds.
2. Volume test results report after test completion, demonstrating
scalability with sample batch workload.
3. Any documents from knowledge transfer process.
