*Overview/Job Summary:*
Seeking an extremely motivated self-starting front-end Web developer with
strong experience in dynamic websites, e-commerce sites and CMS-driven
websites in a Linux/MySQL/Apache setting.
*Responsibilities/Key Tasks:*
*Work responsibilities will include but not be limited to:*
· participation in the requirements/analysis phase of new projects
· translation of requirements to use cases and user stories
· low-level detail review and implementation of User Interface
design and Copy
· working within an Agile/Scrum framework
· development of highly configurable and reusable web page and
services for new projects
· troubleshooting production problems and occasional support of
production releases.
· support front-end applications with minimal middleware needs
*Qualifications/Education Requirement:*
· B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
· Must be an expert in (X)HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, Apache and
proficient in mySQL,
· Knowledge of MVC frameworks and Zend is essential. Zend
Framework 2 experience preferred.
· Experience with Chef (writing cookbooks), Java, and Python is a
plus.
· Comfortable with Linux/UNIX, manipulating the DOM, cross browser
compatibility
· Must be willing to work in an extremely fast-paced work
environment.
· Must have experience with Change Management software and tools
(Git/Jenkins)
· XML/XSLT and a JavaScript/AJAX (Prototype, jQuery) framework a
strong plus.
· High-level knowledge of site architecture/IA will be extremely
useful but is not a day-to-day requirement.
· Knowledge of EZ Publish CMS, Wordpress and Drupal is an extreme
plus.
· Candidate should showcase an acute ability to translate business
requirements into workable, reusable, and scalable code.
· Candidate must also have strong communication skills, superb time
management, excellent people skills and be able to work in a fast-paced
team environment as well as be able to be a self-starter.
