*Subject:* Business Intelligence Developer *Super hot need* Location: Brentwood, TN (suburb of Nashville) Length: 9 months on c2c or 1099 all-inclusive *Needs 2 people!* Great *Business Intelligence Developer* opportunity. The selected candidate will strategically design and implement Business Intelligence solutions, data warehouses, data marts, and data stores, while ensuring high levels of data availability. This individual is also responsible for defining data standards and models for warehouse architectures. The BI Developer will also analyze and amend the software errors in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide status report when required. *Responsibilities:* · Design and develop Data Warehouse reporting and other BI solutions. · Create models for new data warehouse development and/or changes to existing data stores. · Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures. · Work with end users to identify, create, and deliver reports according to requirements. · Identify inefficiencies and gaps in current Business Intelligence/ data warehouses and leverage solutions. · Identify data discrepancies and data quality issues, and work to ensure data consistency and integrity. · Monitor system details within the data warehouse, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements. · Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of data assets. · Develop estimates for data migration between development, test, and production systems, and plan and coordinate these migrations. · Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to data systems. · Work under minimum supervision to perform a variety of complicated tasks. · Diagnose and resolve data warehouse access and performance issues. · Install and configure relevant components to ensure data warehouse access. · Execute Business Intelligence infrastructure configuration and performance tuning. · Conduct research and make recommendations on Business Intelligence products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. · Evaluate, recommend, and select Business Intelligence components, including hardware, database management systems, ETL (extract, transform, load) software, data mining tools, and meta data management tools. *Required Education/Experience:* · Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering; or a minimum of 4 years related experience in lieu of degree in addition to required experience; Any combination of education and experience will be considered. · 4 years experience designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting multi-terabyte data warehouses with database platforms, including Oracle. · 3 years experience working with BI reporting and dashboard tools, (e.g. Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Microstrategies, Cognos, Etc…) · Extensive knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and query tools (e.g. SQLPlus, Toad, etc.). · Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices. · Knowledge of database systems and ETL software tools including best practices and methodologies. · Strong data analysis, data architecture and data modeling experience and familiarity with data modeling design tools (e.g. Erwin, PowerDesigner, ERStudio, etc.). · Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle methodology as adopted by the organization. · Excellent technical architecture and technical support documentation skills. · Displays strong written and oral communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal skills. · Strong problem solving, communication, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills. · Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products as required. · Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. · Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. · Thorough understanding of project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc. · Understanding of software development lifecycles and methodology. · Ability to work independently, positively handle conflict, and work in a fast paced environment. · Understands project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, and the change management processes. · Certifications in Data Warehousing concepts and techniques. · Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools, including Business Objects and Crystal Reports. · Familiarity with in-house data-intensive applications, including Cognos Planning · Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. · Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. *Thanks & Best Regards,* *G.
