This is a hands-on network security engineering position focused on the
firewalls and network security of our network. *The successful candidate
has a proven track record of configuring, modifying, maintaining, and
debugging Palo Alto firewalls* through the use of Panorama and other
management procedures. The successful candidate will be able to
demonstrate understanding of internetworking and how to *construct,
implement, maintain, and debug firewall rules on Palo Alto firewalls.*
- A network engineer focusing on Internet and internal network security
and traffic flow through the use of firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and
traffic management solutions.
- Experience with *Palo Alto firewalls will be first reviewed and
preferred candidates*. Candidates with Fortigate and Juniper SRX
considered as secondary candidates. *(Fortigate and Juniper SRX are a
low priority)*
- Experience with *F5 or Bluecoat* a plus
- Must demonstrate a strong understanding and knowledge of firewall
function, design, and implementation.
- Must demonstrate a strong understanding of *IP, IP protocols,
Internetworking, firewall configuration, firewall rule support and
debugging.*
- Must demonstrate a strong understanding of Palo Alto Firewalls
(configuration, management, support, debugging)
- Candidate will (on a day to day basis)
- Participate in firewall deployment and configuration planning
- Participate in firewall deployment execution
- Participate in firewall support activities and debugging activities
- Participate in firewall change management activities
- Participate in firewall incident management activities actively
validating services with IT application support resources
- Participate in the firewall strategies and project activities
related to continuous improvement
- Participate in project activities that include firewall related
changes for projects throughout IT
- Document support procedures, risk assessments, changes, incident
resolutions, and root cause analysis for critical incidents.
- Other tasks as assigned
