*JD:* *Clearance/Citizenship Requirements:* *- Candidate must meet security clearance requirements for Customs and Border Protection.* *- U.S. Citizenship is required.* *- CBP requires that for the three (3) years prior to the filing of an application for employment, individuals must meet the one or more of the following primary residence criteria:* *(a) the applicant resided in the United States (short trips abroad, such as vacations, will not necessarily disqualify an applicant); or* *(b) the applicant worked for the U.S. Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or military capacity; or* *(c) the applicant was a dependent of a U.S. Federal or military employee serving overseas.* Responsibilities & Duties: We are seeking a WebSphere Message Broker Systems Administrator with DataPowers and LINUX/UNIX experience to provide Level 2/3 Operational and Maintenance support to Application Integrated Portal systems. This involves monitoring the health of the systems on a daily basis, and escalating any issues to other groups as necessary and following thru the resolutions. They are the first line of a technical "system" support with the mission of ensuring 99.999% availability. Working closely with the Application Operators, the SOA Support Engineers will investigate issues identified through the alerting tools or through systems checks. Job Duty 1 with % of time – Ensure system availability by administering health checks, generate required reports and management communications - 20% Job Duty 2 with % of time – Work with the Engineering teams and other expert teams to close out all issues - 20% Job Duty 3 with % of time – Participate in walk-thrus of deployment plans and implementing deployment areas - 20% Job Duty 4 with % of time – Coordinate requirements for operational issues and follow thru the creation and implementation of change requests - 20% Job Duty 5 with % of time – Work with the monitoring team to ensure all alerts are addressed and worked appropriately - 20% Desired Efficiency: • Operations and Maintenance background. Strong trouble shooting skills. Fast learner.
