Here is the job description: Title: Sr. Java Developer Location: Jersey City, NJ Duration: 6 months KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements and responsibilities for all aspects of the Senior Development role include (but are not limited to) the following: 1. Work as an integral member of a development team in the design, development, and support of Java-based high-performance, online transaction processing (OLTP) and reporting applications. 2. Maintain and communicate timelines and status relative to business objectives. 3. Mentorship and adherence to corporate and department coding best practices. 4. Hands on development/execution of software designs pursuant to business requirements and goals. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS KEY COMPETENCIES, MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, MINIMUM PRIOR SPAN OF CONTROL, TECHNICAL SKILLS) The successful candidate will have at least the following qualifications: 1. 7+ years corporate OO design and development experience. 2. 5+ years corporate server-side Java development 3. 5+ years corporate relational database development, including in-depth knowledge of SQL 4. 3+ years corporate java development (including EJB) 5. 3+ years web development (including AJAX, DHTML, XML, and XSLT) 6. 3+ years of experience supporting accounting applications in a global market. 7. Deep understanding of Java best practices including Design Patterns.. 8. Prior experience with Eclipse, remote debugging and java performance tuning. 9. Strong project leadership experience. 10. Exceptional communication skills. Additionally, the following qualifications are desired: 1. Experience with Agile development projects. 2. Java Certifications preferred. 3. MBA or advanced technology degree or equivalent experience. 4. Experience with Private Equity, Hedge funds or other alternative investment products and technologies. 5.
