Our client is hiring a Software/Performance Engineer in Merrimack, NH. It is a long-term contract role. The key to the role is *having development experience in a Performance testing environment. The ideal skill set would be a strong LoadRunner background with Java development/coding experience. * Candidates don’t need to be local but they do need to be willing to relocate to the Merrimack, NH area. *Role: Performance Engineer* *Duration: 6-12 months* *Location: Merrimack, NH.* *Summary:* This client team builds and supports authentication and identity management applications to facilitate secure access to client’s customer facing systems. We are designing and building a new generation of software supporting test automation, performance characterization, and certification of mission critical authentication and identity management applications. Development experience using Java is desired to support Test Driven Development (TDD). Knowledge of QA principles, software development, methodologies and strong communication skills are also required. Knowledge of QA principles, software development, methodologies and strong communication skills are also required. *Primary Responsibilities: * - Works in an agile team comprised of application developers, QA engineers, product owners and architects - Help develop the next generation performance testing platform for Fidelity Investments - Creates automated performance tests to ensure quality of code - Develop and execute test strategies and plans that verify that applications and systems under test meet expected Service Level Agreements (SLA) - Develop and execute automated tests that exercise applications and systems under test in areas such as capacity, longevity and stress - Write advanced scripts to support Test Driven Development (TDD) efforts - Communicate results with interested parties such as project managers, other developers and senior management *Qualifications:* - Prior Development or Software Quality Assurance experience in a performance related area - Java development experience - Understanding of the LINUX operating systems, internet principles - Experience using statistical data analysis techniques - Experience using perl, C, or C++ is a plus - Hands on experience using HP LoadRunner, Apache Jmeter, or similar performance testing tool is a plus - Experience using Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins Build Server is a plus - Knowledge of Server Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Messaging protocols is a plus *Vinod* 3i People, Inc.
