*Job Title: Sr. Oracle PL/SQL Developer*

*Location: El Segundo, CA*

*Duration: 6 Months*



*Job Responsibilities      *

·         Evaluates impacts of the SQL on overall system performance and
provides solutions for optimization

·         Tune SQLs developed by development team (manual tuning) to ensure
optimal execution

·         Analyze and recommend schema changes for optimal database
performance

·         Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues in
multiple environments (such as development and SQA). Also to provide
assistance in resolving performance issues in production database

·         Manage multiple Oracle 10g databases in development environment
including administration and maintenance

·         Develop, maintain and execute scripts for large scale data
extraction, transition and loading

·         Develop, maintain and execute data archiving and purging scripts,
procedures and shell scripts

·         Data modeling using Erwin

·         Support development, SQA and Operations teams during production
deployments

·         Analyze current operational procedures, identify problems and
recommend solutions for optimization



*Technical skills required             *

·         Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in SQL tuning.
(60: 40-20)

·         Experience in database administration is desired, but can be
scaled up. (20:10-10)

·         Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle data dictionary (Implicitly
covered in point 1).

·         Experience on SQL loader and data pump (Good to have, but can be
scaled up). (5: 0-5)

·         Familiarity with AWR analysis.(5: 2-5)

·         Hands-on experience on PL/SQL programming. (Good to have, but can
be scaled up) (5: 1-2)

·         Unix Shell scripting. (5: 2-5)

·         Ability to work with multiple teams in a fast paced environment.

·         Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with
the ability to work effectively in a group setting.  Consistent and proper
communication to management and team is a crucial factor that contributes
to the success of the team

·         Good organizational skills

·         Excellent ability to convince multiple stakeholders

·         Good communication and listening skills



*Desirable technical/behavioral skills    *

·         Good knowledge of Siebel CRM, Database
