The IT Analyst works with stakholders to define and decument business process and software requirements for technology initiatives, including online products and business information systems. The qualified IT Analyst will Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, source code analysis, requirements workshops, observing system behaviour, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Deliver Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document) and Use Cases Work independently with Product Management team to define concepts. Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Serves as the conduit between the Product Management team and the software development team through which requirements flow. Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language. *QUALIFICATIONS:* Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field & experience 7+ years prior experience required as a IT Business Analyst / Systems Analyst Have a demonstrated acumen for working at a very technical level. Experience with Relational database technologies. Able to create or read SQL Strong knowledge of programming languages and tools such as Java, XML, SQL, etc (Required) Can read Java source code and create functional requirements Proficient with common web browsers. Experience with reading XML Experience with use cases and activity diagrams Strong research and technical analysis skills; including the ability to effectively review, analyze, translate and document business needs into technical and user requirements; possess knowledge and understanding of business systems development/design and full life cycle application development process. Strong decision making skills including solid knowledge and experience with data flow process/procedures/systems Solid knowledge and understanding of project planning/project leadership. Strong organization skills including effectively handling multiple assignments and leading multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously and prioritizing work effectively. Strong self motivation, business acumen, customer service, consulting and interpersonal/ relationship development skills. Strong ability to work independently and manage one s time (Required) Ability to function within ambiguity and help bring clarity and/or resolution to complex situations/issues.
