Please send resumes to *[email protected]* <[email protected]> *Job: UC voice engineer* *Position Type :** Remote* *Term :** 6 months (start immediately)* *Travel Requirements : None* *Project Start Date:** 11/20/2014* *Project End Date:** 5/31/2015 * *RATE: DOE* *US Citizen, EAD, Green Card ONLY* *Certifications* *CCVP* *CCIE-Voice certification required* *Required Technical and Work Experience* · More than 5 years as a Senior Cisco engineer with hands-on experience planning, designing, and implementing / deploying complex Cisco UC product lines. · Experience must include Unified Communications Manager, Communications Manager Express, Unity, Unity Express, Unity Connection, Cisco Emergency Responder, Cisco Voice Gateways, Unified Presence Server and Communicator, and Meeting Place. · Extensive experience designing and implementing complex and multinational UC deployments. · Experience with vendor and manufacturer-provided remote access and provisioning tools to support remote and onsite deployments. · Expertise with communications protocols such as H323 / SIP / MGCP / SCCP and other audio codecs. · Cisco Video experience preferred. · Strong verbal and written communication skills. *Desired Technical and Work Experience* · Expertise with related vendor technologies such as Tandberg, Sonus, Audio Codes, Acme, other SBC technology, etc. · Expertise integrating Cisco solutions with other vendor products such as overhead paging systems, direct SIP Trunking to other IPPBX platforms, etc. · Consulting experience is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience with a technology vendor or systems integrator selling, designing, and implementing Cisco or Microsoft UC systems and solutions. *Job Duties and Responsibilities* · Serve as subject matter expert · Act as primary implementation engineer for Verizon’s Unified Communications portfolio · Work with customer, vendors, and internal teams to deploy designed solutions · Lead technical sessions with customers to discover requirements and develop solutions · Prepare project design and documentation · Present solutions to clients · Participate as a “hands-on” engineer on project deployments · Mentor and develop junior engineers · Maintain and develop relationships with clients and vendor partners such as Cisco · Evaluate and recommend new technologies · Maintain technical certifications as required *Education* For Cisco position Four-year degree preferred but not required.
