*DESCRIPTION:*

Elicit, analyze, validate and document business requirements. Work as a
liaison between the project stakeholders, IT managers and development
group. *The candidate must have knowledge of commodities domain and
experience in the areas of IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), IT
operational procedures and best practices.*

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: *

·        Gather business requirements by interfacing with internal and
external stakeholders and conduct analysis for application development.
Facilitate requirement workshops.
·        Translate business requirements into technical specifications and
create deliverables in different phases of the project life-cycle by
decomposing functionality into specifications and business rules. Produce
business requirement document (BRD), functional specifications and business
process flows.
·        Construct workflow charts and diagrams.
·        Analyze business processes and perform gap analysis, impact
analysis and feasibility study.
·        Identify and evaluate the impact of change requests within the
business application and all upstream and downstream systems.
·        Liaise with onsite*/*offsite development team on daily basis to
monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems,
publishing progress reports and recommending actions.
·        Create and review test cases and test plans with the Project team.
Conduct functional and smoke testing. Track defects and releases
·        Query the database utilizing SQL commands to extract the data in
order to perform data analysis and data validation.
·        Conduct user acceptance testing, user training and troubleshoot
production incidents.
·        Provide production support for global users operating in various
geographies in timely manner.
·        Maintain contacts with the data provider’s to report any outage or
data discrepancy.


*REQUIREMENTS:*

·        *Strong knowledge of commodity markets*.
·        *Understanding of Market Data and Trading in Commodity Domain*.
·        Experience with multiple projects involving data
integration/interfaces.
·        Strong *Data Analysis skills* including translations and
transformations of data set.
·        Experience with Enterprise Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
and iterative methodology such as Rational Unified Process *(RUP).*
·        Moderate SQL skills with ability to extract data from Oracle
database to support business objectives.
·        Familiarity and working knowledge of Integration platforms.
·        Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple
projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under
pressure.
·        Ability to independently develop business knowledge and drive
issue resolution.
·        5+ yrs. of experience in business systems analysis role in fast
paced, dynamic, team based environments along with strong QA skills
·        A methodical approach to tasks with strong documentation skills.
·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
