Our client is looking for a consultant to assist with implementing a Hadoop cluster, including documenting a cook book with relevant processes and procedures.
This is a Long term contract in Chicago IL. *The candidates must be available for a face to face interview in Chicago with the client* *Hadoop Implementation Consultant* We’re in search of an experienced Hadoop Implementation Consultant for a contract role with our client in downtown Chicago. *Job Description:* The Hadoop Implementation Consultant position is required for providing server hardware and operating system support services for establishing, upgrading, and maintaining the RedHat Linux, Oracle Solaris, and a Hadoop environment. This consultant will assist with a Hadoop Cluster Implementation, Documenting a cook book as well as key Procedures. This position will be responsible for performing critical system administration duties to ensure operating system and system software is configured and maintained to provide the levels of system availability and integrity specified by the business requirements. The Hadoop Implementation Consultant is responsible for monitoring system security parameters and managing user accounts to ensure adherence to established policy. Capacity planning and system performance and tuning is a key aspect of this position to ensure the service levels are consistently met. Additionally, provides analysis, evaluation, and support of the environment operation which includes monitoring systems, resources, applications, and users to ensure maximum system availability. Experience implementing and supporting Hadoop is required.
