Any State experience is a plus* DFA will be augmenting its existing project management staff in support of increasing business demand. The initial responsibilities will include working with the Arkansas Administrative Statewide Information System (AASIS) Service Center Team in support of SAP projects from initiation and planning through delivery. This position will report to the Administrator of the Arkansas Administrative Statewide Information System (AASIS) Service Center. Key Performance Indicators: ESSENTIAL: Must work well with others. Ability to organize and lead diverse resources from multiple areas of discipline into a unified project team. Ability to communicate statuses, issues, and risks impacting projects to technical and business stakeholders. Knowledge of SAP application software system environments. Knowledge of essentials of project management methodologies. Ability to write detailed action plans and procedures for non-technical and technical personnel to perform. Ability to understand and capture in writing relevant details from oral information. Ability to make formal presentations and explain technical terms and information to non-technical audiences. Ability to scope, plan, and execute to completion complex bodies of work over extended periods of time. Knowledge of latest versions of the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Xcel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.). Knowledge of managing projects using Microsoft project tools including but not limited to MS Project. DESIRABLE: Knowledge of managing projects using Microsoft project tools including but not limited to MS Project Server, SharePoint. Skills to coordinate efforts and resources across multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of SAP application software modules/components. Ability to provide functional analysis within an SAP installation. Ability to apply project management methodologies to technical and non-technical projects. Ability to gather and analyze requirements for projects and provide recommendations for solutions within an SAP environment. Ability to track progress of work efforts involved in projects and to take corrective actions to maintain schedules. BENEFICIAL: Ability to communicate, both oral and written, with departmental personnel and, technical and business entities external to the department. Ability to prepare technical and productivity reports. Ability to use SAP Online Resources and other documentation to resolve problems, answer questions, and optimize current SAP environment. Ability to recommend improvements in processes and procedures to support personnel of an SAP installation and the project management office. Experience with establishing project management methodologies in an organization. Experience with developing principles of the project management office and applying them to projects. Experience working with project managers from other areas and other disciplines.
