Title: Big Data Architect/Lead Location : Albany NY Duration : 2yrs *Expert level Technical Architect/Lead:* EIM Big Data Solutions Architecture project – Duties include but are not limited to: Ø Develop a full EIM/Health Cluster solution including requirements analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, development, testing and deployment to consolidate and optimize Health Cluster information (including Medicaid, patient systems, etc.) consistent with the NYS ITS consolidation plan. Ø Assume overall technical responsibility for the design and implementation of end-to-end, large scale complex solutions that integrate data from desperate systems within and across agencies to deliver integrated, high performance business solutions to serve Operational and Data Analytic business requirements. Ø Work collaboratively with all levels of business stakeholders to stakeholders assess each Agencies data capabilities, pain points, and determine the appropriate platforms for big data/analytics Ø Developing a high performance, scalable Big Data architecture solution that incorporates a matrix of technology to be used for various use cases. Ø Develop a plan with incremental deliverables to lead , oversee, and document Big Data technology evaluations and POCs for new technology Ø Architect and design solutions for complex business requirements, including data processing, analytics and ETL processes to improve performance of data loads and processes. Ø Assisting with the adoption of new technology documenting strategies, policies and best practices to EIM. Ø Establish reference database architecture and technology roadmap in line with the business strategy. Ø Evaluate alternatives, and process requirements; Participate in Infrastructure planning and security definitions. Ø Deliver projects on-time and to specification with quality. Ø Champion Non-Functional Requirements and evolve Architecture to meet increasing expectations and reduce technical debt. Ø Present technical concepts, analysis and solutions to a wide technical as well as non-technical audience to insure broad adoption of the overall data architectural plan. Ø Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to existing leadership staff on best practices, policy and procedure development consistent with EIM Center of Excellence direction. *Requirements: 7+ yrs * Technical expert centered around a technology, technologies, or a portfolio of applications.
