Title: *Sr. Core SSRS Developer* Location: New Hyde Park (Long Island), NY Duration: 6 Months DOES NOT NEED TO HAVE INSURANCE NOW! Must have very good communication skills *Must interview in person* *Skills and expertise* • 7+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL, T-SQL, SSRS, and Stored Procedures preferably in the insurance industry. • Highly desirable is experience with policy administration, billing, claims or financial data • The applicant must have strong communication, customer service, troubleshooting, and organizational skills and the ability to complete assigned work with minimal instruction and supervision • Possess strong non-technical skills including, but not limited to, problem-solving, work prioritization, communication, self-direction, and time management. • Experience with core web development technologies - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to respect others at all times and communicate appropriately with persons possessing a different level of technology aptitude and experience. • Knowledge of standards and best practices used in conjunction with developing reports and dashboards using SSRS *Education * • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Computer Science or related studies *Job Description* Work collaboratively with our insurance business units to define and develop custom reports and dashboards that deliver real-time information to support the evolving business. Create and customize SSRS reports. Lead data extraction from our policy administration system (Duck Creek) and the development of the reporting data marts. *Job Requirements* • Work closely with stakeholders from different business units to determine reporting and application requirements, perform analysis to create statement of work and provide time estimates • Design layout of SSRS reports and determine the best way to present data to end users • Develop SSRS reports and dashboards using Microsoft Reporting Services platform (SSRS), Microsoft SQL, MS Excel, pivot tables and other tools • Provide technical support for SSRS business applications.
