Please send the resumes at [email protected] *Title: SAP Solution Manager Consultant* *Location: Milwaukee, WI* *Duration: 3-6+ months* *Primary Purpose:* Under general supervision - analyzes, designs, and assists in the implementation of development and support applications for Johnson Controls global SAP environment. This individual is responsible for ensuring that results meet established goals and timelines by • Managing and architecting the implementation of applications. • Managing and architecting integrations with other systems in the Johnson Controls’ SAP/Project Unity landscape. • Managing and architecting the support framework for the identified applications/integrations. • Coordinating with other internal IT departments/customer teams to ensure Johnson Controls’ policies and procedures are adhered to and requirements are met. • Coordinating application patch and upgrade cycles. • Ensuring infrastructure patch and upgrade cycles are adhered to and implemented without negatively impacting production. • Ensuring all compliance standards are maintained. Development tools/applications for the SAP Unity landscape include (but are not limited to), third party add-ons for SAP Solution Manager, test management tools from HPQC, Microsoft Service Manager suite, business requirements modeling tools (ARIS, Blue Works, etc.), and job automation tools (CPS Redwood, IBM Tivoli). Primary Duties: • Maintain technical knowledge and expertise in assigned areas of responsibility. Apply new technology and techniques to improve effectiveness of business solutions. • Research new trends in the SAP community surrounding the use of 3rd party Bolt on’s • Deliver full IT life cycle implementation support services. Responsible for partnering with business/development analysts to focus on business process improvement and re-engineering. • Ensure the applications utilized are managed according to SDLC (maintenance, breaks/fixes, support service packs, upgrade, server patches/upgrades, etc.). • Develop technical skills to span multiple “applications” utilized by the SAP Development Team. Employ efforts to expand both technical knowledge and skills by cross-training and obtaining certifications where applicable. • Work with architecture and operations departments to ensure that applications are in compliance with company standards, are operating at a high level of availability. • Work with Global Infrastructure Team(s) to meet server requirements for the application and connectivity requirements for hosted applications. • Ensure solutions are highly available and have mission critical disaster recovery capability. • Ensure that application development standards are designed and executed to meet compliance requirements. • Ensure that projects follows the JCI Project Management Methodology PM2 process • Work with various process stream leads to investigate and select tools for their given process areas and coordinate the integration into the UNITY program. This may involve analyzing current business processes, suggesting improvements, and participating in the design, testing, and implementation of new systems. • Assist in the planning and execution of change initiatives to support SAP deployments. • Provide a single point of contact for the various “NON-SAP” tools employed by the UNITY program. • Participate in the development and maturity of the overall ALM strategy as the expert in NON SAP tools and integration to SAP. Job Specifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field. • Demonstrated experience with implementing tools and templates in a project environment. • Demonstrated experience with implementing tools and templates in a maintenance environment. • Minimum 3 to 5 years specific experience with Technical/Functional IT tools listed ARIS, HPQC, REDWOOD, etc. and/or minimum 3-5 years working in SAP with Technical/Functional understanding • Good project management skills with the ability to plan and monitor projects involving customers, other IT departments and business units. • Proven ability to assist in installation, configuration, and setup of different Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes. • SAP Solution Manager skillset preferred. • Using SAP Solution Manager for project documentation and configuration preferred. • Lifecycle implementation using SAP Solution Manager as a functional consultant or tools administrator preferred. • Must have fluency in English Language, written and spoken. • Excellent analytical/problem solving skills. Ability to handle cross-functional tasks in parallel. • Ability to work independently in dynamic, fast-paced environment. • Capable of effectively interacting with customers. • Very strong verbal and written communication skills. • Experience with multi-tier architecture in a production support environment is required. • Strong interpersonal, analytical and ability to communicate to people at all levels.
