Developer must understand how to build framework to use across multiple devices, os, and browsers. Understand flexibility OOCSS/Modular CSS - Understand principles of Object Oriented CSS/Modular CSS (i.e SMACSS). Code needs to be built to be modular, re-useable, and responsive SASS/LESS - Must understand principles of SASS and LESS. If developer has not used it often, that is ok but needs to understand principles. Best case scenario is developer has built entire framework in sass/less using a grid based system. Developer needs to understand how to use variables, functions, mixins, etc. Image Optimization - Must know how to make a sprite, use svgs, and create code for retina optimized images Should be able to develop new feature in the current code independently. Should have extensive experience in HTML, and Javascript, Should have extensive experience on web open source frameworks that include backbone, handle bars, and JQuery mobile or similar frameworks Should be able to resolve mobile UI issues independently. Should have extensive knowledge on Web/mobile front end architectures Should be able to mentor, and drive offshore team.
