The Senior Network Analyst will have primary responsibility for analyzing,
designing, installing, and troubleshooting of various network systems
including: routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and Load Balancing. The
individual must have extensive and in-depth experience participating in
capacity planning, support the creation and maintenance of disaster
recovery plans and monitor all network performance activities. The Senior
Network Analyst is engaged in both the design and implementation of new
network solutions projects.



Specific responsibilities include:

•             Design and configure a highly available and recoverable
network infrastructure, corporate wide, currently to three main and several
hundreds of remotes sites.

•             Implementation and configuration of new network
infrastructure hardware, firmware, software, and tools.

•             Reviews and provides proactive network architecture patching,
upgrade and replacement.

•             Monitor and diagnose problems or areas of risk to minimize
infrastructure downtime across the corporation.

•             Ensure that all changes potentially impacting network
security are thoroughly planned, tested, and documented prior to
implementation.

•             Provide management with regular reports and recommendations.

•             Ensure technology standards and procedures are adhered to.

•             Serves as a technical resource on a wide variety of projects
planning to ensure that network systems are fully utilized and that
requirements for new capacity are planned.

•             Capability to research, understand and follow through on
deployment of security protocols.

•             Reviews and prepares Standard Operating Procedure
documentation for all implemented solutions.

•             Contributes to the development of the organization's goals
and objectives.

•             Must be able to navigate through ambiguities and flexible to
multi-task changing priorities.

•             Provide management with scheduled reports on the health,
availability and performance of core systems and services.



This senior technical role will appeal to candidates with:

•             Possess a degree in computer engineering or a related
discipline or equivalent professional experience.

•             8-10 years’ of network administration and operations related
experience in a large distributed environment.

•             5-8 years’ experience working with various networking
technologies such as: Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, Cisco ASA, Cisco
Wireless, Nortel switches, Juniper SSL VPN, Juniper SRX, A10 Load
Balancers, and NetScaler Load Balancers.

•             Current Cisco, Citrix, or Juniper certifications are an asset.

•             Strong technical, problem determination and resolution skills.

•             Ability to describe, create and manage system documentation,
including standard operating procedures, and routine status reports; and
script development, testing and implementation.

•             Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a
team.

•             Ability to describe participation in processes involving
change management, vendor management, escalation procedures and project
management.

•             Current Cisco and Nortel Network certifications are an asset.
