*Position: Hyperion Admin* *End date: Long term one year* *Location: Melville, NY or NYC* *Job Description:* For all modules in ELC's EPM product suite (FDM, HFM, Planning, Essbase, ODI, DRM, Workspace, Shared Services, HSF, HFR, Smartview) Proactive monitoring of all system software & services ensuring system is fully operational during specified uptimes. Detection and resolution of system software & service issues Proactive monitoring of all application processes for system resource usage and performance Tune all system components and application level settings for optimal system resource usage and performance Track and maintain performance metrics & resource usage for key application processes Assist development team with resolving application process issues which generate system software errors or crashes Coordinate with Oracle DBA to ensure relational database is properly maintained and issues are resolved in a timely manner Understand how O/S versions, parameters, settings etc. impact system performance and functionality. Coordinate as necessary with technology infrastructure teams (network, SAN, server etc.) to troubleshoot systems issues and optimize performance. Work with Oracle support for critical issues or issues requiring vendor assistance. Full understanding of the Oracle SR process. Understanding of how to bring up and bring down system services and perform as needed Understand how to properly recover from system software or hardware crashes Application maintenance items such as: · Backup/restore (other than Oracle database) · Log maintenance. · Ongoing configuration setting tuning & maintenance · Understanding of the interdependencies between all components in the EPM technical stack Patch management - · Pro-actively research new patches as they are released, keeping the application team informed as to their applicability in our environment. · Handle the implementation of system software patching and upgrades, coordinating with application teams on requirments, timing, testing etc. · Work with Windows, Unix, Oracle support teams at ELC to coordinate system level patching for O/S and DB. · Segregation of Duties - use LCM and other tools in order to migrate internally developed application components from QA to Production for new development or break/fix work Thanks & Regards, Matt Blair / Global Resource Management, Inc.
