*Job Title : Senior Java DeveloperLocation : McLean, VADuration : 3 months (*with extension possible for successful candidate*)* *Note*: Preferd *Citizens* (or) *Green Card's* *Required Experience:* • 7-10 years of Java development experience, financial/banking clients preferred Agile/ADLC, Full SDLC • Software Design / Development (Java) and has coded many applications used for business. • Works to provide functionality and performance • Relational Database Concepts • SQL, Database query tools • Experience analyzing data solving problems and troubleshooting to provide solutions • Experience managing large, multi-faceted projects • MVC framework experience (Struts, Hibernate) • Additional BI application experience • Proficient with Oracle Database • Shell Scripting experience *Responsibilities:* • Develop approach for coding - review, analyze and collaborate with business analyst and development teams to fully understand requirement. • Collaborate with development team on data approach for coding – Understand data guidelines, and understand data sources available, what is new based on requirements, and how the project will impact common data stores • Develop deliverables for QA (Code and unit test) • Team Mentoring, Directing, and Priority setting • Provides lead support to associate developers and developers with coding and level-3 support - service ticket tracking, problem analysis, troubleshooting, problem recreation, and root cause analysis. • Scope includes code and infrastructure issues where collaboration with cross functional services (Performance Engineering, Server, Data Storage, database, Network, and Common Services) is required. • Place problem tickets with 3rd party vendors as needed. • This level spends more time directing and coding and less time providing support than lower level developers • Install, configure, and maintain components owned by the development team that are necessary for the building, testing, and running of the application. • Provides guidance to lower level developers. • Estimate work effort with task breakdown; and verify approach and estimates with supervisor and team. • Collaborate with the performance monitoring team to assure that application monitoring is established and persists as expected. • Also, collaborate with Operations to assure that backup and recovery procedures are established and persist as expected. • Provide input into business cases, ROI analyses, and feasibility studies as led by an architect; and do presentations to colleagues and contribute to procedures and standards • Experience with Sun Identity manager preferred • Knowledge of cloud based environment preferred.
