This position is located in Washington D.C. **** This position requires ability to pass a USDA background investigation**** *JOB DESCRIPTION:* Responsible for performing requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, verification and validation, and web-application in a .net environment. Analyzes software requirements, clarifications, use cases, design specifications, creates and implements software code, test plans. Knowledgeable of software lifecycle development processes, standards and best practices to ensure high quality software applications are designed thoroughly tested and delivered. Able to develop solutions and actively participate with other technical developers, DBAs, system administrators, architects and engineers. Customer may require agile and waterfall approaches. This role provides technical leadership within a wider virtual team and manages locally one or more subcontracts and/or team employees. *SCOPE:* Part of a critical team developing and supporting high-quality enterprise geospatial solutions supporting a federal civilian agency’s enterprise GIS program of more than 3000 users. *This position will serve as technical team lead* in the Washington DC location for this program. This is a software development position and as such *80% of the effort is anticipated to be direct hands-on coding.* Work location is in *Washington D.C.* on the Mall directly beside a metro stop. *BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:* * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 8 years of general experience.
