*Job Title: Validation Consultant* *Location: **Santa Clara, CA* *Job Description:* *Role: System VALIDATION Lead* · Customer OnCue Hardware engineering team is looking for a highly qualified System Validation Lead. · This role is a key technical contributor that works cross-functionally with HW Engineering, Marketing, SW/FW developers, and various Validation teams to develop system test strategies, test plans, and perform test execution. · Validation tests are run to verify that HW product functionality meets product requirements. · Additionally, the role requires creating Validation plan, developing test cases. · Structuring Automation plan, Perform debug, root cause, and resolution of HW and system issues as they occur. · This position will work with cross-functional teams, including Electrical Engineering, Thermal / Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, Software Development, Software Validation, and Release Engineering to develop oveal validation plan for the HW and SW. · The position will engage and lead the test plan development and execution to verify the product meets product specifications. · The group&rsquo s test strategy includes platform validation through use case testing and some software validation of low level drivers and firmware developed by the group. *Qualifications:* · Candidate should possess a Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent · 7+ years of experience leading SW and HW validation · 4+ years of experience in modern PC architecture and usage models, including processors, boot FW, and common system busses including PCI-Express, memory, SATA, USB, HDMI, Wifi, Bluetooth and others · 4+ years of experience in developing test automation and scaling automated test methodologies. · Relevant exposure to platform level testing in Linux operating system environment · Experience leading debug activities - Development experience with any of the following: Python, embedded Linux, Android, or embedded system validation - Strong English verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with design, software, manufacturing, applications engineering, technical marketing, and customers - A self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team - Proven track record of customer orientation - Experience with wireless devices, performance, compatibility and interoperability testing, power state and power immunity would give the candidate an added advantage If you are qualified, available, interested, planning to make a change, or know of a friend who might have the required qualifications and interest, please call me ASAP at (732) 318-3811 even if we have spoken recently about a different position.
