We have an urgent requirement for below position, please let me know if you are comfortable and available for below position . *Job Title : Lead Linux Admin * Business Unit : IMST Duration : 6 Months *Location : Rye, New York. * *Job Description:* As a Lead Consultant, you will be an expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape. *Qualifications** Basic**:* • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. • At least 7 years of experience with IT Infrastructure Skills Skills Required :Linux Administrator · 6+ years of Linux systems administration experience · 6+ years of VMWare ESXi systems administration experience · Experience with OS imaging and conversion utilities (Storix, VMWare converter, Platespin, etc) · Experience with Cisco UCS Blade Infrastructure (Desired but not necessary) · Experience with enterprise storage systems (EMC, Hitachi, etc) · Understanding of basic TCP/IP networking concepts o VLANs o Subnet masking · Understanding of basic SAN & NAS storage concepts. · Working knowledge of backup & restore concepts & techniques. *Responsibilities:* · Environment setup ( Installation and configurations ) · Operational support of Linux OS (RHEL 5.x, 6.x) and VMWAreESXi 5.5 environment. · Migration of RHEL operating systems to VMWare environment. · Post-migration monitoring and tuning of virtualized systems. · Capacity planning of virtual environment · Handling incidents, problems and changes as per the ITIL Guidelines · Leading the effort for Root Cause Analysis of high impact / priority issues · Coordination of with different teams for resolution of any hardware / product related issues · Ability to cross skill on the technologies required for the project. · Ability to work with onshore/offshore teams, and communicate using virtual communication tools (phone, conferencing, online meeting) · Ability to support working outside of normal business hours to provide after hour or "on-call" support when necessary to solve high profile issues or complete critical path projects · Effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams *Personal Skills* Besides the professional qualifications of the candidates we place great importance in addition to various forms personality profile.
