*Job Title: Telecommunication Network Engineer* *Location: **Mountain View – California* *Job Description: * · Serve as primary vendor delivery contact for the delivery of Metro & Long Haul dark fiber, Leased Wavelengths, Space, Power and Inside Plant Fiber as necessary. · Serve as Primary Deployment contact during Implementation & Handoff for Acceptance of New 3rd Party Services as well as Activation of Leased Capacity. · Will Initiate and Manage Procurement & Delivery of all associated Cross Connects & ISP patching. · Ensure capacity being delivered is on schedule, according to specs, and downstream teams are prepared to accept the capacity. · Manage exceptions and communicates issues/risks to Deployment Team. · Lead escalation initiatives up vendor management chains as necessary if delivery time lines are at risk Escalate internally as needed. · Obtain, Distribute and Maintain all Vendor Documentation. · Order Confirmation,LOA/CFA, DLR, Completion Notification, Fiber Test Results & Handover Package · Proven experience within data centers and the respective support infrastructure. · Thorough experience with various transport systems (DWDM, SDH/SONET Systems, Metro Ethernet, etc.). · Familiarity with IP Transit/peering, Dark Fiber, Wavelengths and peering xconnects · Familiarity with outside plant (OSP) metro and long haul as well as inside plant (ISP) fiber. · Strong knowledge of network inventory management systems like Netcracker or Granite. · Valid and current passport and willingness and ability to travel (when required by Google). · Strong program management experience. · Provide direction and leadership to a team of telecom engineers responsible for facilitating the Project and meeting specific objectives set forth. · Track performance against specific goals and generating stakeholder reporting Work with other Google teams to develop and improve tools used in providing these Services. · Maintain methodofprocedures (&ldquo MOPs&rdquo ) and document processes and procedures. · Support in planning and development of workflow, processes and tools for GFiber&rsquo Network Provisioning. · Utilize Google&rsquo s inventory systems to accurately document Patch Panel, ISP and OSP Cable infrastructure. · Ongoing coaching and training of the Project Team Lead regular progress and status meetings. · Other similar or related tasks as requested by the Google Project Manager or his/her designee · Good spoken and written English language skills and abilities *Skill and Experience Details:* *Minimum Experience Required:* 5-8 YEARS *Mandatory Skills:* TNS Consulting - Optical, Telecommunication Telecom Managed Services, Telecommunication *Desirable Skills:* Networking and Infrastructure *Language Skills:* English Language If you are qualified, available, interested, planning to make a change, or know of a friend who might have the required qualifications and interest, please call me ASAP at (732) 318-3811 even if we have spoken recently about a different position.
