Here is the job description: Title: HP Unix Admin - Production Control Specialist Location: German Town, MD Duration: 12 months In-Person Interview required Job Description: This position will perform production support functions for the CSB applications. This includes monitoring batch job schedules, analyzing job failures, and identifying areas for improvement. Additionally, the candidate will need to be proficient in understanding, creating and modifying HP UX Unix shell scripts to perform data collection and batch job analysis. This includes being proficient with SED, AWK, GREP, and regular expressions. The candidate will be able to create shell scripts to automate or improve performance of existing processes and manual tasks, and scan log files to identify errors. The candidate must understand error handling and exception processing for verification of job completion status, and be able to interact with all support groups in debugging and problem resolutions. The position requires timely resolution of support issues within SLA timeframes and escalations as needed. The position will also require providing off-hour support for production emergencies and planned outages as necessary. The candidate will require strong documentation skills to record the system procedures, processes and workflow. Experience with SQLPLUS and Autosys scheduling tools is also required.
