*Duration: 6+ Months* *Job Description: * · Defines business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases, and researching and resolving issues. · Participates in business analysis project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation. · Analyzes current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes. · May also oversee the acquisition, analysis and dissemination of subject matter knowledge. Excellent communication skills Expert in requirement elicitation and requirement technical documentation for dev team Expert in data analysis (SQL queries) · Strong working knowledge with various financial instruments (equity, fixed income, futures, options, swaps) Familiarity with financial risk metrics (VaR, CVA, PFE, etc.) *Accountabilities: *Provide support for medium to large business/systems projects meeting time and quality targets. Liaise between business and systems areas to investigate and/or develop solutions to business/systems issues. Conduct feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis and work flow analysis for small projects. Elicit and identify business needs through a variety of techniques such as one-on-one interviews, group work sessions, Joint Application Development (JAD) workshops, surveys and observation. Document requirements in various formats: Business Requirements Document, Data Mapping Spreadsheets, User Stories, Use Cases. Prepare and maintain business process flows that represent our business practices. Establish a test plan and expected results, conduct acceptance testing, identify issues and recommend solutions. Prepare, develop and/or support training materials and user specification requirements. Identify opportunities for increasing system/business opportunities. Influence and negotiate with others to meet project deadlines. Coordinate and work with vendor on specific activities. *Other Duties as assigned.* · Working as a Business Analyst within the Investments domain. · Domain areas may include securities trading, cash management, settlement and reconciliation processes, performance reporting, client reporting, fund accounting and administration, derivatives and hedging strategy support. Well-developed analytical skills with the ability to define, document and resolve problems utilizing a variety of analytical tools. · Capable of gathering and validating requirements in order to resolve issues and problems. Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving and question traditional assumptions. · Demonstrated strength at evaluating feasibility or practicality of ideas and options, assess risks and trade-offs and, make informed and timely decisions. Competent at test case design, prediction of results and test execution. Good understanding of project management methodologies, workflow, and cost/benefit analysis. · Effective communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills. Strong planning and organization skills. · Proven ability to quickly and easily adapt to changes within the business and organization. Demonstrated initiative and ability to commit to a course of action in the face of risks and uncertainty.
