*Job Title: *Web Analytics Consultant

*Location: *Irvine, CA

*Duration:* 6 Months+



*Position responsibilities: *

   - *Design and document customized analytics tracking specifications for
   digital content and partner with development teams from Development to UAT
   and implementation*
   - *Creation of Adobe/Omniture tags*
   - *Diagnose and troubleshoot web analytics platform configuration
   issues. Understand all aspects of Site Catalyst implementation (tags,
   sCode, plug-ins, server call types, cookies, SiteCat variables, Link
   Tracking, JavaScript, HTML & packet sniffing)*
   - Identify and troubleshoot potential issues with tags
   - Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the digital analytics system by
   continually monitoring tags and resulting data
   - Work with Adobe to resolve any tracking discrepancies that may require
   combined effort to correct
   - User acceptance test of new & modified tags created
   - Ensure naming standard adhered to
   - Stay abreast with changes in Adobe/Omniture technology and how they
   affect the Adobe/Omniture tags
   - Communicate changes in Adobe/Omniture or the site to Analytics and
   engineering
   - Coordinate upgrades & new functionality with engineering
   - Work with engineers so that they understand what the implementation is
   trying to accomplish and provide feedback from the engineering perspective,
   define JavaScript that needs to execute
   - Work with analysts to be sure they can use the data captured to
   accomplish their original goals, and that they understand how to get to the
   data they want to use
   - Support analytics, MI & kbb.com in working with Adobe/Omniture on
   issues when needed
   - Performs other related duties as assigned.


*Essential skills, knowledge and abilities:*

   - Recent, hands-on knowledge of Adobe Site Catalyst, Client, Digital
   Pulse, Test and Target and Adobe Audience Manager
   - Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and basic computer programming
   - Exposure to web diagnostic tools like Fiddler 2, Charles Proxy or
   Firebug
   - Experience creating and maintaining operational data quality
   monitoring processes
   - Experience with key features, including eVars, success events, VISTA
   rules, SAINT classifications, raw Data Feeds, pathing/fallout, e-commerce,
   and marketing channels

Reasonable Excel skills

   - Quantitative mindset, with a desire to work in a data-intensive
   environment Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;
   or *one to two years *related experience and/or training; or equivalent
   combination of education and experience.
   - Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record
   keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics,
   etc.


   - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,
   professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
   Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
   Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from
   groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


   - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
   measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to
   compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


   - Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw
   valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical
   instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract
   and concrete variables.


*Non-essential skills, knowledge and abilities: *

   - Experience working with Publisher web data
   - Experience working with DoubleClick DFP ad tags and ad data
   - Proficient in SQL
   - Experience working with MicroStrategy
   - Automotive experience
