Please send the resumes at [email protected] Job Title: Systems Engineer w/NetCool Location: NYC Duration: 12 Months SCOPE OF SERVICES Design and implement a solution using NetCool Omnibus, NetCool ITM, NetCool TBSM, NetCool Impact- comprised of object servers, probes, gateways to meet PSAC1 and PSAC2 monitroing and alerting requirements. Perform requirements gathering necessary to design and build complex E-911 systems of the enterprise monitoring system Perform analysis and make recommendation on design that meets industry best practice for monitoring Develop design and presentation documents for engineers and management. This would include but not limited to VISIO or CAD type engineering drawings, bill of materials, and technical specifications with custom configuration to meet the E-911 needs, and run books for steady state operations. Perform the installation of all required system hardware and software for the monitoring system to enable the monitoring system to perform to predefined specifications Perform testing and validation the system for functionality and, performance, fault tolerance and operation readiness. Experience in setting up monitoring profiles, polling policies and thresholds Execute detailed network discovery, device monitoring, topology visualization, and root cause analysis (RCA) capabilities Mandatory Skill/Expertise At least 8 years of experience as monitoring engineer Extensive knowledge on nGenius Performance Manager software products Extensive Knowledge of AppManager QDB Repositories,AppManager Management Servers, AppManager Control Center, AppManager Performance Profiler, AppManager Analysis Center, NetCool Connector Extensive Knowledge of Netcool Omnibus, Netcool ITM, Netcool TBSM, Netcool Impact, - comprised of object servers, probes, gateways Engineering experience within a large-scale, complex Manager of Managers type monitoring environment Extensive knowledge in networking, IT Security technologies and Monitoring technologies. Knowledge for TCP/IP; SNMP; and other protocols Experience in setting up monitoring profiles, polling policies and thresholds Knowledge of Syslog / SNMP Trap Forwarding Configuration Template Proven experience with VBScript, XML, JavaScript, VB.NET, C#, PERL, and UNIX Shell Scripting Experience working with zLinux, Red Hat, Suse Linux, VMWare and an understanding of other virtualization technologies Experience working with discovery tools such as BMC ADDM and Netcool Impact.
