CA Duration : 3 month contract Rate : 45/hr on 1099 or CTC ROLE: The Database Development Engineer will work closely with business product management, business partners, customer service and technology team members to plan, design, develop, deploy, maintain and support various databases deployed in B2B, ecommerce and consumer-facing platforms. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Design data models and physical schemas for database entities. Produce technical design documents for the schema and stored procedure specifications. Write stored procedures, ad hoc SQL queries, views, and triggers. Design and implement SSIS packages for data integration. Review SQL code generated by application developers and auto-generated by middle-tier OR frameworks. Design and implement indexing to optimize transactional and reporting performance. Troubleshoot production, real-time performance and concurrency issues. Optimize existing schemas through normalization and denormalization techniques. Optimize existing stored procedures by refactoring T-SQL code. Create SQL scripts for baseline and test data seeding. Create pre- and post- deployment SQL scripts for database rollouts. Work with internal clients, engineering teams, and other resources to analyze functional and technical requirements for database applications and supporting systems. Create automated DB unit tests for stored procedures and functions.
