*Job Summary:* *Job Title:* *Data Analyst* *Location:* *Chester VA* *Duration:* *10+* *month* *Interview:* *In-Person Inetrview* *Responsibilities:* - This position will assist with the identification of information flow, content issues and the transformation of business requirements into logical data and system models. - This position is eligible for limited telework and/or a flexible work schedule. - This position is not eligible for over-time and will be capped at 40 hours a week. *Data Modeling and Database Design (strong knowledge of relational database concepts) * - SQL (PL/SQL is a plus) - Data Integration Practices - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and logical thinking - Ability to understand the business data needs and translate into data models (DFDs, DSDs and/or ERDs) - Ability to create ETL specifications and develop data mappings - Ability to engage in detailed analysis of data discrepancies to determine the source and resolution of errors - Clear and concise documentation skills - High level knowledge of programming practices - Aptitude for learning new technologies/applications/businesses - Excellent presentation, communication and customer service skills while maintaining a professional manner - Self-motivated team player – able to work cooperatively in a team environment - Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines when required - Remain flexible on changing workloads and priorities - Ability to communicate with diversified stakeholders - Data Warehousing is a plus - Business Intelligence is a plus - ITIL certification is a plus - Industry specific knowledge regarding asset inventory systems is a plus - Industry specific knowledge regarding service portfolio management systems is a plus *Qualifications: * *Essential Skills/Competencies:* - 5+ years of data requirements gathering experience - 5+ years of logical Data Modeling - 5+ years of experience in data-centric positions or roles - 3+ years of SQL (PL/SQL is a plus) - Hands-on experience with ETL Tools is a plus - Public Sector background/experience is a plus *Preferred Education:* Bachelor degree in related field is preferred, but not required.
