Title: Java Developer Location: Downtown/Wall Street, NY (U.S.Citizens or Green Card) Duration: Permanent Detailed Info: to play a critical role in supporting the business, working with the management on development of the IT strategy, leading a team of developers on several projects, gathering requirements, interacting with other internal IT groups and external vendors, as well as being personally involved in tactical and strategic application development. The person should be capable of independently conducting all phases of the project lifecycle including analysis, design, development and system support. The person should be able to work independently, multitask and work on multiple projects; direct interaction with the business users (traders / middle office / research /etc) is required.. Development/Computing Environment: Minimum 7 years of experience as an application developer; experience within a front office trading or risk management environment in financial services industry is a must. Individual must be proficient in all aspects of object-oriented and database design, and system architecture. Strong knowledge of and experience in Java/J2EE, Weblogic, Oracle, SQL, Unix. Knowledge of C# and MS Excel is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to resolve functional & technical issues independently. Knowledge of fixed income products is a must, knowledge of ABS/MBS/CDO is a big plus..
