Job Title: UI/UX Interaction Designer Consultant's Location: Montvale, New Jersey Duration: 6-12 months Contract Required background: Provide Interaction Design (IxD) exploration and direction for multiple application areas. Review requirements and user needs by reviewing past research, talking with SMEs/Business Owners and dealers if required. Design new workflows, screens, UI widgets/controls that promote efficient interaction and usability improvements to NetStar functionality Identify unique workflows and components, and specific components (e.g., page headers and action bars, lists) that will be common across the areas. In collaboration with the rest of the Design team - document interaction guidelines and design patterns with specifications, that can be reused across additional future screens. Create functional wireframes in Axure, including detailed annotations. Conduct reviews with development team to check technical feasibility of designs. Work with Visual Designer to ensure effective visual communication of your designs. Conduct regular design reviews with Product Owner to gain feedback and approval Obtain regular user feedback for each Design iteration to ensure the most usable design. Support development team by answering design-related questions, altering screen designs as necessary Mentor and provide subject matter expertise in the IxD skillset to the business and development teams to ensure the applications developed have a high quality of usability. Participate as a member of the development team using Agile/Scrum processes. Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency with Axure rapid prototyping tool , able to create wireframes and annotations, work with existing interactions already defined in Axure. Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with business users, management and external customers to understand business workflows, conduct reviews and gain feedback. Knowledge of industry best practices for User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) in web applications. Knowledge of best practices and methods to ensure browser & device compatibility Strong interaction design skills that can guide development of architecturally significant UI components for the application.
