*Position: System QA Engineer*
*Location: El Segundo, CA*
*Duration: 6-12 Months*
*Description:*
· IPTV network - video testing, integration and implementation.
· Configuration of IPTV head end’s, linear transport, VOD and STB
clients.
· IPTV and CATV systems.
· IP Multicast transport and PIM routing.
· Unicast and Multicast networks, Middleware and Set-Top Boxes
(STB's).
· IPTV encoders, video servers, conditional access systems and
set-top boxes.
· QAM systems and hybrid IP-QAM solutions.
· RF Systems and CATV frequencies.
· Networking components (i.e.: switches, hubs, LAN topology, VLANS,
Ethernet etc...)
· Unicast and multicast MPEG transport streams, including the
ability to analyze transport streams in both ASI and IP environments.
· MPEG 2 encoding, grooming and IP multicast transport.
· OSI model, specifically layers 1, 2 & 3.
· RF systems, including: general understanding of the EIA spectrum.
· Along with above general testing concepts + OS(unix) + DB(MySQL)
are also required.
